The first highlight is the magnificent Borbeck Castle in Essen, an imposing moated castle surrounded by a beautiful park.

The tour continues to Bottrop, a lively city that is a strong example of the successful transformation from a traditional mining town to a centre for innovative environmental technologies. An absolute eye-catcher is the tetrahedron on the Beckstraße spoil tip. This futuristic structure and its geometric design are particularly impressive from the air.

A few minutes later, you fly over the historic Horst Castle in Gelsenkirchen. This Renaissance gem is one of the oldest buildings in the region and is a real gem from the air.

Then it's on to the Veltins-Arena, the home of FC Schalke 04, a modern stadium that is an architectural masterpiece and fascinates with its gigantic structure. From the Zeppelin you also have a unique view of the Rhine-Herne Canal, which winds its way through the Ruhr region.
