Conditions of Carriage
The contract of carriage is based on the general conditions of carriage of Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei GmbH (DZR), which are available at www.zeppelinflug.de or which will be sent to you on request.
Passengers with a weight over 140 kg may not be permitted to board the Zeppelin due to material load limitations. Please contact a representative of passenger service at the time of booking if your weight is over 120kg. Children under the age of two and travellers in wheelchairs are not permitted on board the Zeppelin. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers must be able to walk a distance of approximately 50m over grass and are required to climb up and down 5 stairs without assistance. Walking aids cannot be brought on board. Zeppelin travellers with disabilities are asked to contact the passenger service before
booking. The passenger remains responsible for advising us of any disability. We reserve the right that if a passenger does not meet the physical or weight regulations, we may refuse the passenger on board due to our safety regulations. In such circumstances a cancellation of the booking is no longer possible, the flight price cannot be reimbursed. Travelling companions booked on the same flight cannot cancel the flight free of charge.
During the boarding or disembarking procedure it may happen that you have to walk on unpaved surfaces (grass fields, gravel). We therefore ask you to wear appropriate footwear
Flying with the Zeppelin depends on the weather. In the case of a flight cancellation, the passengers will be informed by phone, as soon as possible. Please provide your mobile number so that we can reach you in time. However, it may also happen that a flight is cancelled on the very day of the flight. A change in flight route or flight time may also be undertaken without explicit approval from passengers due to the same reasons. On the day of the flight, you will receive your ticket after presenting your booking confirmation/invoice and an official identification document (ID card, passport, or driving license) at the check-in desk. Tickets will not be issued before full payment of the flight price.
Due to legal requirements, the check-in deadline is 1 h before the scheduled departure time for your flight. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if you do not comply with the check-in deadline. The flight expires without substitution and without refund.
Electronic devices that can send and receive signals may only be used after the permission of the cabin crew has been granted. Otherwise it is prohibited at all times when on board the Zeppelin. Please leave such devices switched off or put them into flight mode. The use of standard consumer cameras is allowed on board the Zeppelin. Please follow the instructions of the flight crew at all times.
Booking alterations and name changes
For a fee of 20,- EUR per person, you can change your booking or name up to 21 days before departure at the latest. After that a rebooking is no longer possible.
Passengers must cancel bookings in written form, stating their booking reference number. The following cancellation fees apply:
31 days or more before flight date: 20,00 EUR per person
30 – 10 days before flight date: 50 % of original price
09 – 0 days before flight date: 100 % of original price
The date of cancellation is the date on which the written cancellation arrives at the DZR office
To reduce your personal costs in case of an unexpected cancellation on your side you may contact your Insurance Broker to check for the possibility of existing travel insurance. The DZR is currently not offering such service for non german citizens.
Vouchers or a fraction of any vouchers cannot be reimbursed.
If a flight is aborted, the actual flight time will be calculated with 9,- EUR per minute. Any difference can be used for a new booking or be reimbursed. Should a flight be aborted less than 15 minutes after boarding you will be offered a re-booking into an alternative flight for the full length of your original reservation.
If a flight is cancelled by DZR, we try to offer an alternative. In case of impossibility you will receive back your money, max. to the amount paid. DZR will not cover any travel or hotel costs.
Unless otherwise published you can find the DZR booking office on +49 (0)7541 5900-0 (Mon - Fri from 8 am to 5 pm). During flight season you find us additionally Sat, Sun and bank holidays from 8 am to 2 pm.

Address for flights departing from FRIEDRICHSHAFEN:
From Friedrichshafen, head towards “Messe”. Follow the signs for “Zeppelinflüge“ or “Zeppelinhalle“. If you are using a navigation device, we recommend that you enter “Messe” as a destination.
